The Cat Fanciers´ Association (CFA), currently recognizes 37 pedigreed cat breeds for showing in the Championship Class, and four breeds in the Miscellaneous Class.

Breeds in the Championship Class are:

Abyssinian, American Curl, American Shorthair, American Wirehair, Balinese, Birman, Bombay, British Shorthair, Burmese, Chartreux, Colorpoint Shorthair, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Egyptian Mau, Exotic, Havana Brown, Himalayan, Japanese Bobtail, Javanese, Korat, Maine Coon Cat, Manx, Norwegian Forest Cat, Ocicat, Oriental, Persian, Ragdoll, Russian Blue, Scottish Fold, Selkirk Rex, Siamese, Singapura, Somali, Sphynx, Tonkinese, Turkish Angora, Turkish Van.

Breeds in the Miscellaneous Class are:

American Bobtail, LaPerm, RagaMuffin and Siberian.
