A female will utter an unusual cry known as calling or chirping to attract a male cat for breeding. Also, her hormonal changes emmit an odor-detectable by male cats-that will attract male cats. Male cats have a call of their own to entice the female to breed. This will continue night after night until the female is impregnated.
