How does my cat get worms from fleas?

Fleas cause Worms?!

Yes, your kitty can contract one type of intestinal worm from eating fleas.
Cats swallow the flea when they chew on the skin that the flea is irritating, then the bristles on the cat's tongue force the flea into the stomach.
If you have a flea problem, be sure to get your kitty de-wormed after you have eliminated the fleas.

fleas usually cause tapeworm. If your kitty has or has had fleas, chances are poor kitty is suffering inside aswell as out. Drontal works very well to deworm. Ask your vet.
