If you are concerned about using pesticides in your home, and you can't handle the smell of herbal remedies, there is one other means of controling your flea problems.
Fleas can't process salt as well as we do. Try sprinkling salt on your carpets and in the pet's beds. Leave it for a few hours and vacuum. Repeat two or three times a week for as long as needed.
This does not work as well as the mint spray, but it does not leave any smell in the carpet.
NOTE: THIS CAN GET MESSY IF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA OF HIGH HUMIDITY. THE SALT WILL DRAW THE MOISTURE OUT OF THE AIR, FORCING YOU TO USE A WET VAC TO VACUUM IT UP.
