All of my experience and my vets´ instructions validate the idea that Ash Content in your cat´s food can lead to urinary infection, or irritate it. Although I have read in recent studies that this is not the case, the source of the articles was a pet food company. I still keep the ash content in my pet´s food at 3.2% or lower, and I don´t have any troubles.
