How do I prevent my cat from coughing up hairballs?

For hairballs, I use "Cat-Lax". There are many products out there similar to this one. Not only does it help them with their hairballs, but it tastes good to cats! So you don't have to force it to them, by rubbing it on them. It's like a treat to your kitty.
